Tairu Omebije

Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer

Tairu is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Visa Microfinance Bank Ltd. He succeeded the bank's founder and former CEO, Osita Nebolisa, Ph.D., who led the institution from its inception for over a decade. Tairu brings nearly two decades of banking experience to the role, significantly contributing to the bank's growth. Under his leadership, Visa Microfinance Bank has extended over N8.5 billion in credit facilities to individuals and SMEs.

He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy from the Federal Polytechnic, Idah, Kogi State. With his extensive experience and expertise in the banking and finance industry, Tairu has developed the skills and knowledge required to effectively lead a financial institution.

Before joining Visa Microfinance Bank, he worked with Access Bank Plc and Biraidu Community Bank. Tairu is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), and a student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (at the Professional Level).

His wealth of knowledge and strategic insights continues to drive the success and growth of Visa Microfinance Bank Ltd.

Angela Ozigi

Director

Mrs Angela Ozigi is a consultant on IT, travels and telecommunications. She graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria with BSc degree in Administration. She sits on Board of Telestrategies Consulting Ltd and Western International Tours Ltd. She also had a stint at the National Productivity Centre, Abuja where she contributed immensely to the nations’s labour sector.

She is a member of the National Council of Women Society and the Nigerian Institute of Management. On the Board of Visa Microfinance Bank, her measured input has always been of immense help.

Emeka Anekwe

Director

Emeka graduated from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka with a BSc degree in Marketing. His sojourn in the university was eventful as he led the students’ union body of the department as the first elected pioneer President. He started his career with Allstates Trust Bank Plc in 1999. His stint at Allstates Trust Bank Plc saw him navigate various departments where he also rose to man the Retail Banking as a Unit Head. He left Allstates for TMC Savings and Loans Limited and managed the mortgage bank as a Branch Manager for many years. He rose through the ranks to run the bank as the Acting Managing Director.

He founded, established and continues to manage Maxitrust Microfinance Bank Limited since 2008 when he decided to actively engage with the Federal Government’s anti-poverty programme/initiatives. He was spurred to action by the Chukwuma Charles Soludo microfinance reform programmes during the Olusegun Obasanjo regime. He has participated in many local and foreign training programmes and is also a certified microfinance banker – as endorsed and supervised by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
